My name is Becca,
I am an award-winning wedding, elopement and portrait photographer. I consider myself a lover of life, art, and all living things. Cursed by my love to wear black despite being covered in animal fluff constantly.
I live in Sooke amongst the old growth trees with my little family made of my partner and our animals.
Based on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada.
Happy to travel worldwide for weddings and any creative opportunity.

I’m a true nature enthusiast and adventurer at heart. I’ve traveled the world, photographing breathtaking landscapes and capturing moments that tell a story. I feel that my love for photography shines through in every image I take.
I’m honoured to have been recognized as a wedding photographer with numerous awards and features in some of the industry’s most prestigious publications. I’ve been named among the top 200 artists of the year by Lookslikefilm.com four times and recently ranked in the top 15 finalists for the International Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards. Most of my accomplishments were once distant dreams. I feel blessed to have realized so early in my career.

Welcome to my life..
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me exploring the great outdoors with my four furry friends—Gracie and Benny my two dogs, (and Oscar boy up in heaven), Puppy the cat, and Beanie the horse. Whether I’m catching waves at the beach or hitting the slopes, I’m always seeking my next adventure. If you dream of having your photos taken in an epic location, I’m always up for exploring with you. If you saw the state of my gear you can tell I am always climbing up rocks and getting myself into wild positions to get the perfect shot. Did I mention that I love to travel? Well I do and there are some locations I have been dying to shoot and would be willing to shoot for the travel cost. Like Greece, Italy, and Bali. My favourite shoots seem to always be the adventure fuelled, whether we hike in or get dropped at the top of a mountain by helicopter.

Welcome to my life..
Before diving into photography full-time, I spent ten years as a care aide, where I focused on helping people feel comfortable, safe and valued. My goal was to increase their quality of life everyday and be an ambassador for them in our communities. This experience deeply influenced my approach to photography, allowing me to connect authentically with my clients. I’m a romantic at heart, and I believe in the power of love over all, no what what size, shape or form that love exists in. With my bright smile and easy laugh, I strive to bring joy to every shoot. A lot of my clients have said that it feels like we have known each other forever. I love that. Connection with other people is what makes life worth living.

We loved our experience working with Rebecca. We interviewed a few wedding photographers working in the area and even then right away knew we made the right choice. She is a true professional whose stunning work speaks for itself, but whose friendly personality and easygoing direction on our big day was SO appreciated. For me I am usually not very comfortable being in photos, and without even realizing it Rebecca's guidance made me feel totally at ease and really happy with how I look. "Becca is an INSANELY talented photographer with the best personality! We are in absolute AWE of our wedding photos. When we hired a wedding photographer, I thought we would have a handful of really good shots to choose from when thinking about which ones we might want to blow up onto a canvas for our home. WRONG. We literally (no exaggeration) have over a hundred (among the over a thousand she shared with us) that are blow up canvass worthy (honestly it's almost stressful, like how do we even choose???). Becca did SUCH a great job making us awkward photo takers look good. The gallery she sent us was well-rounded and had lots of beautiful candid shots of our guests too, which we really appreciated (she truly captured everybody)!
Aside from her talent, Becca is also a truly rad human who made us feel comfortable and kept us laughing all day long. I really underestimated how much time you spend with your photographer on your big day, and in retrospect am so grateful that we had someone who felt like a best buddy who we've known our whole lives.
